The Old Divinity School This Grade II listed building dates back to 1878/1879 and was designed by Architect Basil Champneys. PML worked with St Johns to convert the building into a large central meeting hall, several teaching rooms fitted with state of the art equipment and a 180 seat lecture theatre. The scheme involved extensive excavation for a basement and underpinning works. The site was found to be one of the largest medieval hospital burial grounds in Britain containing an estimated 1300 burials. Over 400 complete skeletal remains were uncovered by the team from the Cambridge Archaeological Unit. For more information on the archaeological report, please click here: https://www.cau.arch.cam.ac.uk/grey-lit-reports-v2/1000
